Tour Description:
There is no rushing through your tour, you will have plenty of time to enjoy Turkey and the ANZAC commemorations. This tour is visiting the most popular and beautiful sights in Turkey. If you have time on your hands don’t miss out on Turkey!!! Experience the Gallipoli Battlefields and the ANZAC Services. Enjoy the cultural, touristic and historical sights of Turkey. You will enjoy sea, sand and sun not to mention loads of fun.

The tour covers Istanbul, Troy, Asklepion and Red Basilica, and the roman city of Pergamon, the ancient ruins of Ephesus, the hot springs, Hierapolis and calcium terraces of Pamukkale, The underground cities and fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, while staying in the authentic cave hotels and 4 - 5 star luxury hotel accommodation throughout the tour. Includes domestic flight from Cappadocia to Istanbul.

All entrance fees are included in the tour and we have a welcome party on arrival in Istanbul (optional). This tour is for those that want to do and see everything whilst on tour in Turkey, making your trip a lifetime memory. Day 1 - Istanbul - Monday 21st April 2008
(Welcome cocktail included)
Welcome to Turkey, arrival in Istanbul. Transfer from airport & check in to your hotel. Welcome cocktail at 07:30pm at the hotel. Tonight we can take you to a welcome gala dinner with traditional Turkish 1001 nights entertainment, an optional activity. You can meet our friendly crew and other travellers while enjoying traditional Turkish food and enjoy the mystical atmosphere of Istanbul at night. The evening starts at 08:30pm. Overnight at 5star hotel in Istanbul. Please Note: Free transfers are available from BOTH Istanbul Airports throughout today. Please confirm your flight details in advance.
 
 
Day 2 - Istanbul City Tour - Tuesday 22nd April 2008
(Breakfast included)
We depart from your hotel at 08:30am for the Istanbul city tour. Topkapi Palace: The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. Sultanahmet Imperial Mosque: Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Lunch break and then we head to the Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar) The air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice. This Evening there is the option of joining us as we enjoy a dinner on the Bosphorus. Overnight 5star hotel in Istanbul.
 
 
Day 3 - Gallipoli and Troy Tour - Wednesday 23rd April 2008

We depart for Gallipoli at 07:00am (4.5 hours drive). On the way we will have the chance to watch the latest documentary on the Gallipoli Campaign. We arrive in Gallipoli for lunch and have an ANZAC lunch on the coast of Kabatepe. We then start our tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula.

We will visit Kabatepe War Museum, ANZAC Cove, Ari Burnu, Beach Cemetery, Unknown Soldier Monument, Lone Pine Australia’s Memorial and Cemetery, Quinns Post, Turkish 57th Regiment Memorial, The Nek, the original tunnels and trenches at Johnston Jolly (Turkish and Allied), and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial and Cemetery.

After the Gallipoli tour, we depart at for the ancient city of Troy. (1.5 hours drive including ferry). Your guide will explain the mythology surrounding Troy, the Trojan Horse and Helen of Troy. After Troy, drive to our Boutique hotel in Assos (1 hour drive). Dinner at the hotel.
 
 
Day 4 - Free day in Assos - ANZAC Cove - Thursday 24th April 2008

The day is yours to enjoy, relax and have fun with your new friends, or get some sleep before the dawn service! There is also much to see in Assos if you want to sightsee. Your tour guide will provide you with ideas of where to visit. Luggage can be kept at this hotel as you will return to stay here tomorrow night. If you wish to buy snacks for the overnight camp, today is best time to do it. There are also some food and drink stalls available at ANZAC Cove. Tonight at 06:30pm we will meet back at the hotel for our buffet dinner before heading to ANZAC Cove for the Dawn Service. Overnight at ANZAC Cove.
 
 
Day 5 - Gallipoli Dawn Service - Friday 25th April 2008

Don't forget your sleeping bags, warm clothes, breakfast box, wet weather gear and torches because Gallipoli is still as dark and cold today as it was 93 years ago when our ancestors landed.

After the services (approx 03:00pm) we will drive back to our 4star hotel in Assos. The night is yours to relax, dinner will be served at the hotel also. Overnight luxury boutique hotel in Assos.
 
 
Day 6 - Bergama Tour / Kusadasi - Saturday 26th April 2008
(Breakfast and dinner included)
Drive to Pergamon (1 hour 40 minutes drive) - Visit Asklepion, Zeus Altar, Red Basilica etc. Bergama is the site of the Hellenistic - and later Roman - city of Pergamon, ruled for several centuries by a powerful local dynasty. Its foremost attraction is the Kizil Avlu or "Red Basilica", a huge edifice on the river not far from the acropolis, originally built as a temple to the Egyptian god Osiris and converted to a basilica by the early Christians, when it was one of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor addressed by St John in the book of Revelation - though sadly it's now a crumbling ruin with a mosque in one of its towers. Then departure for Kusadasi. On the way, we will visit a place which continues to perform one of the oldest arts of Turkey; a carpet weaving centre. Then we have the option of a Turkish Bath before checking into your hotel. Have a rest till dinner time. After having dinner at your hotel, you will have the free time to stroll. Overnight 5star hotel in Kusadasi.
 
 
Day 7 - Ephesus & Kusadasi - Sunday 27th April 2008

After breakfast we will depart at 09:00am (20 minutes drive) to visit Ephesus - once the commercial centre of the ancient world - is a highlight of any visit to Turkey. The city, whose wealth and patronage supported its splendid architectural program, was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. Her enormous temple, once considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and rebuilt several times, dates in its latest form from the third century B.C. The tour of the ruins also includes a theatre, gymnasium, agora and baths, as well as the Library of Celsus. After lunch, we will make a shopping tour in which you will be aware of the ancient arts of Turkey like leather manufacturing and jewellery. As this will be a guided tour, you will avoid the constant nagging and sometimes bullying that is well known in the markets of Turkey. This enables you to enjoy the shopping experience whilst gaining the knowledge of the ancient craftsmen. Overnight 5star hotel in Kusadasi.
 
 
Day 8 - Pamukkale Tour - Monday 28th April 2008

At 08:30am we depart for Pamukkale (2.5 hours drive). We then arrive at Pamukkale for lunch. Afterwards we shall visit the calcium terraces of Pamukkale (cotton castle) and the ruins of Hierapolis, then walk around this natural phenomenon and give you the option of lying in the waters of the natural springs. After our days activities we will check into our hotel in Pamukkale. Dinner will be served at the hotel and the rest of the night is yours. Overnight in 4star thermal hotel in Pamukkale.
 
 
Day 9 - Pamukkale & Cappadocia- Tuesday 29th April 2008

After breakfast, you can enjoy the thermal pool and sun till 10:00am. Then departure for Cappadocia (10 hours drive). After having some rest, you will have the chance to go to the famous traditional Turkish night, you will enjoy Whirling Dervishes, belly dancing & traditional Turkish folklore, accompanied by traditional Turkish cuisine. We recommend it should not be missed.
 
 
Day 10 - Cappadocia Tour - Wednesday 30th April 2008

Today we will get to know the Cappadocia region, a volcanic area in which the geological formation started 10 million years ago. As a result of these formations phallic like pillars have come to life. The beautiful horse country "Katpatuka," (as the Persians called her) is an unbelievable strip of land, enchanting and mysterious. Our guided tour will start at 09:30am and cover Avcilar, Pigeon valley, Goreme open air museum, Dervent valley, Uchisar castle and the pottery village of Avanos. If you want to join our optional activity of Hot Air Ballooning, please contact with your guide and register because it will take place early the next morning. Dinner will be served at our hotel. Overnight in cave hotel Cappadocia.
 
 
Day 11 - Cappadocia Tour & Ankara - Thursday 01st May 2008

We depart at 09:30am for one of the most interesting sites of Cappadocia - Derinkuyu Underground City. The Christians hid from the armies of Rome and the raids of hostile tribes in these self sufficient cities in which there were halls for stocks of crop, barns, rooms, kitchens & ventilation channels. This afternoon we will depart for Istanbul by aeroplane (included in the cost of tour) on the way we will stop for lunch. Overnight 5star hotel in Istanbul.
 
 
Day 12 - Istanbul - The End - Friday 02nd May 2008
